Kitchen Remodeling
This customer did not like the dividing wall between the kitchen and living room or the peninsula in her kitchen. We removed the diving wall, added a broom closet and pantry, exchanged the peninsula for a more versatile island and updated the flooring throughout.
This homeowner loved everything about this house – except the kitchen. The first time it came on the market, they did not make an offer because of the horribly small, cramped space. The next time it was listed, they decided they could live with it until they could afford to remodel. We removed the dividing wall between the kitchen and living room, the wrap around half wall, the corner pantry, soffit and all flooring. During demo, the homeowner commented about the strange popouts throughout the living room, which we also removed. The granite island top is large enough to comfortably seat 6 people. The floor to ceiling cabinetry replaces the need for the pantry and houses the microwave and coffee area. Water lines were moved to accommodate the new refrigerator location and a gas line was added for the new cooktop/oven. The increased functionality, openness and beauty of the new space makes the home feel completely different.
